Food and Fibre Careers Day
In May 300 students from 22 schools travelled to Dookie for the annual Food and Fibre Careers Day. Seven schools from our area attended.
Many aspects of agriculture were on show in 24 different workshops. Students were able to choose three workshops. Aimee Snowden of Little Brick Pastoral was one of the guest speakers, along with Myrrhee Primary School and Professor Tim Reeves.
Lunch time included a Young Farmer Challenge consisting of a team race through a series of farm related activities and obstacles including hay bales, drench guns and swags. Moama Anglican Grammar’s team won the Challenge and took home a drone for their school.
